TOOOOO MUUUCCHHH WOOOORK.
that's why i cannot post as much as i wish i could. holy fuck.
we spend some really nice weekend, thanks to Guillaume Long and Ibn Al Rabin ; both guys were in town for signing their books, and it was really a pleasure to get them. i wish Ibn Al Rabin came with us on sunday afternoon in one of Besancon nicest places, where Guillaume and I got the strongest vertigo ever. quite funny, but not while the very moment where cars and people looked like ants. brrrr. thanks to them.
Alcor, aka mister numeric picture, got some real pictures on his fabulous website, but you gotta pray him and maybe he will give away loggin infos especially for you, but i seriously doubt about it. 8) i'll soon have some webspace for posting some of these magnificent pics... maybe.
heeelllloooo freeeeedddd.... 8)
very quickly, miss Fafe from the Groinge french indy publisher got her own blog, and expect from her more and more nice little draws on a regular shedule. Fafe is as cool as her art. you get the point. 8)
Nancy Pena, too, opened her blog a few days ago. she's the author of one of the best french comics released last year ("le cabinet chinois") and it's exactly here.
more shit tommorow.
maybe.
maybe not.
but maybe.

SPRING.
I’m just around for a few minutes, as loads of news shit happened recently in my life.
First, I don’t work in Dijon anymore but in Besancon ; it’s pretty cool and all, even if I got more responsibilities than I ‘d in Dijon. It’s cool also cause I’m done with the daily train rides : I’m a 15-minutes-walk away from my work, which is, as you can imagine, really nice.
Secondly, 2 days after knowing that I got this job, I got a positive answer from another cool job, somewhere in the atlantic south side of france ; which is, by the way, the exact place I wanna live by now…so I really gotta think about it, as its scheduled for end of 2004/beginning of 2005… we’ll see.
Third, Guillaume Long and Ibn Al Rabin comes for a meet/signing in our area this weekend, and it's just coooool. 8)
- check Plutoslo, aka Morgan Navaro :
- check Melvil Massacre :
- buy Franck Bourgeron excellent surprise, a french comic book called Extreme Orient :
- and another french blog thing, yep ; speak you soon, have a nice weekend, fellas. 8)

1 + 1.
FlickR and Marumushi are 2 great sites.
the first is a kind of interactive photo database, between members (you just have to log) that share differents pics. funny sometimes, interesting for sure.
the second is another way of offering informations and news. it works, and frankly, it's refreshing to see nice construction of page : when it comes to infos, it's pretty rare.
and that's all for now. i'm out until friday. will the sun wait for me ? hmm... i'm not sure. 8)

MY LEFT FOOT.
well, i got my sunday/monday free (what a cool life i got, uh ?), and we decided to go for a walk with Drine.
both days were full of sunshine, of nice stops in front of nice panoramic views, and of nice tree scents ; of foot cramp, too. anyway. we took some nice pics and hopefully it will be online soon.
if you feel like you wanna help me with buying some digital cameras, feel comfortable, don't hesitate. i'm a very kind guy, i promise.
- Is it a bird ? is it a plane ? nooo ! it's Jerry Seinfeld !!! ... uh... wait a minute...
no it ain't some new DC Team Up comics, just some "new kind of advertising" for Amex. Senfield and Superman ? check the nu-atomic duo there (and thanks to Fred).
- i ate with my old pal mIch today. we ate kebaps. i'm still trying to convince my stomach it was not bad. i wanna go to bed. now.
- introducing... the organic human mouse ! heck, you gotta click here to understand what we talkin' about (and thanks to the always surprising IokanaaN).
- french fans (or french readers) of comics must update their favorites bar : Gilles now post on a more personnal level under this adress, and not under the now-dead bdnews.net one anymore.
- well, i you're looking for some girlfriend who can probably help you for some fishing parties, i got some plan for you (and thanks to Ease).
- TTC, Radioinactive, BusDriver and Afram Asmar LIVE on stage tomorrow april 14th near you. uh, sorry, near me. well, maybe near you ? let me know.
it's called "dans ton club tour", directly from TTC last (and soon huuuuge top classic number one buzz of worlwide charts etc) track "dans ton club", which is our french faves own interpretation of 50cents "in da club", but on a intelligent mood and a real dancefloor-fillesque version. must be some cool gig.
- i was asked to do a Zenzile warm up for their gig in Besancon.
i don't like their music that much, i don't even understand why Vincent Segal did shit with them, so i said "no thanks".
i'm an artist with integrity, miss. you cannot buy me. 8)
- and on friday, in Dijon, my good pal Alcor does some stuff with some pretty cool line up :
. Anakyne [Underpressure - Paris]
. Mr Activ [Close Combat - Paris]
. MC Jamalski [Roughneck Reality - NYC/Paris]
. Alcor [HipHouse - Dijon]
. Dale Cooper [LaVibe - Dijon]
I'll try to take pics with Alcor's big camera while he'll spin (or while he'll spit vomite everywhere). more soon.

NUCLEAR WAR !
i don't wanna do my nostalgic guy, neither my crying one, as i wasn't listening to Sun Ra music before '96 or '97, back in the days when i was an addicted to Gilles Peterson weekly radio show, "Worlwide". Now it's been nearly 10 years or so since the man died, and some of my favorite producers did some kind of homage to the man... on some record that i just found out, but which was released last year.
KC the Funkaholic launched (was it last year ?) his own record label, called Kindred Spirits (from the monthly Amsterdam's Paradiso Club famous night), on which you'll find this "Sun Ra Dedication: The Myth Lives On" records (cd/lp), with, between others, King Britt, Jimi Tenor, Kirk DeGiorgio (aka As One, ...), Theo Parrish, Mocky, Recloose, and one of my all-time faves Sun Ra tracks, "Nuclear War", re-done twice : Madlib and his Yesterday New Quintet (featuring Declaime) on the noisy-free-breakhead side, Alex Attias aka Mustang on the broken-vintage-boogie side, and frankly, i cannot tell which is my favorite. great album !!!
Nuclear war, nuclear war
Talking about nuclear war
It's a motherfucker don't you know
If they push that button yo' ass gotta go
...1982, baby ! 8)
